About The Proprietor

Hello my name is Cam Nancarrow (Call me Cam), and I have been restoring furniture since 1984. When I started in Oxford St Bulimba I learnt from 2 experienced polishers, both from the UK. One was an antique dealer and the other was a piano specialist.

I have always had a passion to make furniture but most of my previous experience came from my father who was a house painter, then a glazier and later in life a restorer of old houses.

Two of the most important things in restoration of furniture are the camouflaging of repairs so they look original and the colouring of timbers to get the ideal finish.
